You must be able to read a number plate from a distance of 27.5 metres with glasses or contact lenses if normally worn for driving Where the plate has the new style font with a reduced width of character, the distance is 26.5 metres.
If you fail this test, you will not be able to take the test of driving ability (Part 2).
