RECOMMENDED READING
In order for you to take your practical driving test you will
have to first pass your theory and hazard perception test.
You do not need to pass this part of the test before you start to learn to
drive!
It will aid your learning if you are taking driving lessons at the same time as
studying.
Your driving instructor will give you plenty of
expert help and advice
to ensure that you have every chance of passing
first time.
The theory part of the exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions,
which appear on a computer screen in front of you.
You enter your answers on a touch-screen computer
system
by touching the box next to the appropriate
statement or statements on the screen.
You need to answer 43 or more of the questions
correctly to pass this element of the theory test.
